May 19 / 2023
On May 18, as part of the Granollers Green and Circular Economy Fair, the second edition of the EVC LAB, the professional technical days of the fair, was held. It was a meeting point between agents of knowledge and innovation and local administrations to exchange experiences on projects in the field of the circular economy. On this occasion, the focus was on the importance of public-private collaboration as a key strategy in the circular economy.
The round table about Clusters to promote circular economy projects through collaboration, moderated by Joan Martí, Director of ACCIO's Business Strategy Unit (on the right), with the representatives of four clusters.
During this second edition of the EVC LAB, as part of the Granollers Green and Circular Economy Fair organized by the Granollers Town Council and GRID Granollers, the Hub b30 team was able to attend their professional technical conferences. This conference was adressed to entrepreneurs, local technical staff, business associations and other professionals or people interested in moving towards the circular economy.
First, we attended the round table on Clusters to promote circular economy projects through collaboration, where we were able to learn about four important clusters in the circular economy field: Catalonian Efficient Energy Cluster, Packaging Cluster, Advanced Materials Cluster of Catalonia and Catalonian Bioenergy Cluster. Their representatives explained particular experiences made by their clusters, where collaborative work has allowed them to deal better the challenges of the new model of production and consumption.
In the second part of the conference, the local administration had a space for reflection, in a meeting of technicians from the Network of Cities and Towns towards the sustainability of the Diputació de Barcelona, where we could see the key role played by the municipalities in the circular economy. At the same time, industrial estate associations also had the opportunity to propose specific initiatives to promote mutual knowledge and collaboration between the industrial network.
